another 3 seconds off my 15 minutes
john glionna of the l.a. times interviewed me briefly for his story on the berkeley bowl. i'm reffed on page 2.

naturally, i was misquoted. it's the goddess "oblivia," not "oblivion."

he really wanted a story about bad behavior there, and he pissed glenn yasuda off so much that he's now banned from the bowl. for life.

poor bastard.

Huh. I thought the article was a bit unfair re: bad behavior. But then I remembered that before I left for France, I always wanted to punch hippies when I went there. But oddly, when I moved back last year I found the place to be much less hippie-punch inducing.

I think the opening of the Whole Foods by the lake and Trader Joe's all over the place helped take the pressure of the Bowl. It's a lot less crowded now during the week.

often, often, what you put in is what you get to take back out. i'm just not very interested in others' opinions of me, and perhaps that shows, because hardly anybody ever offers them.

unless i actually, you know, ask.
